I would like to say that CLAMP is the perfect and exact NLP software I have been looking for many years for my research. I have been using CLAMP for multiple projects to extract clinical information that is critical and, however, usually difficult to obtain from coded data. My research interest is the clinical decision support system (CDSS) for challenging healthcare issues. Using CLAMP, I can find information that is missed and locked in the clinical notes, which is essential for a CDSS. With CLAMP’s many built-in functions (e.g., encoding, database connection, assertion…), the integration and customization with EHRs are straight forward, and flexible.
